10/20/2026 Rock River Drift – I didn’t see hardly any wildlife at all. The day before we could hear chainsaws from out home, more than a mile away. On this day we head an explosion from same area. The previous day they started cutting before sunrise, but this day they were just loading up the barge around 8am.
I ran up river, didn’t see any eagles or deer, started my drift and at 7:57 am I heard a loud explosion from that same are where they launch from. It sounded like a gasoline explosion. It was a bad drift, I didn’t see much of anything so I took photos of logger island instead.
