10/19/2026 Rock River Drift

10/19/2026 Rock River Drift – I didn’t see much wildlife today. As I ran upriver, I looked for the eagles that usually perch in the area, but they were gone. While passing Logger Island, I heard a tree come crashing down. It was so loud that it startled me.

About an hour later, as I drifted back through the same area, another tree came crashing down nearby.

I didn’t see much of anything until I got about a mile farther downriver near the eagle nest site. There, I spotted the female eagle perched in one of her usual trees.
