In July 2022 I saw Cuckoo birds mating, lots of Killdeer and shorebirds, Broad-wing Hawks, a Mink moving her babies, cool weather made foggy mornings, colorful sunrises, Blue Heron, storms, lots of waterfowl chicks, a Moorhen, a Red Fox and a spray plane flying over my house, spraying the field and I got some photos of that. I probably scared her aiming something at her just 50 yards away. I did make a few trips to the Mississippi River to get photos, but ended up fishing because it was slow there and fishing was good.
The river started rising fast after some stormy weather and a Mink’s den started to flood so she carried them all to a new den and I happened to catch that. I made so many drifts that wildlife was getting used to me and not only tolerated me, but they would swim across the river when I got near because I offered them safety from the Hawks and Eagles.
