Eagle photos from Nelson Slough, Rock River by Sterling and Mississippi River. There was a nest in Nelson slough that was low and the eagles were friendly and let you get close. Unfortunately they were pushed out by development. One juvenile eagle just fledged and was swormed by songbirds who let the eaglet know he was welcome by the bird’s nests. There was kingbird, Orioles, Bluejays, Redwinged Blackbirds all grouping up to attack.
Eagles at Nelson slough bring a walleye and a catfish back to the nest.
